Happy New Year to all Tau State Members,
I missed a December blog and hope all of you had a very happy holiday season with family and friends. Many of you may have had to change plans in spite of the weather but this is, of course, Minnesota.
I enjoyed visits to Beta Beta Chapter in November and Alpha Theta in December. Both evenings were delightful meeting and visiting with the chapter members and enjoying the refreshments and program.I have upcoming visits to Mu, Eta, and Nu chapters this spring. I look forward to being invited to each chapter during this biennium.
Our CHEERS committee is up and running. They have had some meetings with chapter leaders already and have more set up in the future. I hope every chapter will have representatives meet with them and give your input so we can keep Tau State active, "healthy", and successful.
Our Winter Executive Board Meeting will be on Saturday, February 6 at Spring Lake Park High School. Registration information will be forthcoming to state officers, committee chairs, and chapter presidents.
I hope all of you have received the summer and fall issues of the North Star News. Remember all issues will be electronically sent to chapter presidents who in turn will forward on to chapter members with email addresses and print copies for members who do not. The next issue (late February or early March) will have registration materials and information for the Spring Conference in Brooklyn Park on April 23-25. Glenda Reynolds, our Northwest Regional Representative, will be the International Guest. Registration materials and information will also be available on the state website www.deltakappagamma.org/MN in February.
We will be promoting the 2010 Interntional Convention in Spokane, Washington, July 20-24. There will also be a Seminar for Purposeful Living in Tacoma, Washington a few days prior to the convention. Check out the International website for more information www.deltakappagamma.net
I hope when you read this blog you will respond with questions, concerns, or ideas for Tau State. We are here to serve our members.
Respectfully,
Cory
